3 weeks already!

I love these little feet!

12 grandkids

My sister, Larissa, came down from Seattle last week for a visit. It was so fun to see her and her kids. It was the first time she has been here in over a year, so the first time some of us got to meet her little Katelyn. We had all twelve grandkids together! There are 12 of them, and the oldest is 6! It was a little chaotic, but so fun. The cousins all love to play together. We really tried to get some good pictures. As you can imagine, that was not so easy. I hope someone got some a little better than mine! I can't even see their great-grandparents.

Other happenings

I guess there has been more than just a new baby going on around here lately....

Ethan has been playing crazy like always. Here he is as a pirate. He has been playing a lot of pretend lately. He is either a pirate, or "skywalker", or some other character that he has learned from his friends at school. His friends have taught him about the Hulk, transformers, and Sonic the Hedgehog, so he comes home pretending to be whatever character they have been "playing" at recess.

This could not be my boy! My family used to tease me about how much I liked sour cream. Colby is right there with me! Here he is after eating a burrito--I'm still not sure how the sour cream got from the inside of the burrito to the tip of his nose, but oh well. I think there are some similiar pictures of me somewhere.

We also had some fun times playing with cousins while Nana was here. Madison can read their bedtime stories to them now!

And, of course, we've had lots of this going on (at least during the day!) Isn't she cute?

Coming Home

Sadie came home 24 hours after she was born. We were excited to get her home, and the boys couldn't wait to show her her room and her toys and everything.

Here is Sadie with the dog that Nana and the boys picked out for her.

Sadie's birthday

As promised, here are some more pictures of our new arrival.

Here is our cute little pink baby! We are so glad she is here. Once again, I don't have a very exciting labor story. It was pretty quick and easy. After a few hours of labor, the nurse checked me and said "don't laugh or your baby will fall out!" (The funny thing is, the nurse I had when I delivered Colby had told me the same thing.) She called my doctor, who got there just in time to catch, and Sadie was here!

Here are the boys meeting their little sister for the first time. They were both really excited.
